OPEN HANDS BEFORE GOD

“Search me, O God, and know my heart.” — Psalm 139:23

Closed hands can hold tightly to control, resentment, fear, possessions, and plans. Open hands tell God, “Nothing I carry is beyond Your reach.”

Surrender is not passivity. It is the deliberate decision to trust God with what we cannot control and to obey Him with what we can. Sometimes the hardest thing to release is our preferred way of seeing another person’s story unfold.

When you pray for someone you love, bring them to God with open hands. Intercede faithfully, but remember that the Holy Spirit is the One who convicts, guides, and transforms.

Lord, I place __________ before You. Help me release fear, pressure, and the need to control the outcome. Show me when to speak, when to be silent, and how to love with wisdom. Search my heart and remove anything that hinders my prayers. Amen.

What are you gripping so tightly that you have stopped trusting God with it?
