BORN AGAIN NOT MERELY IMPROVED

“Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” — John 3:3

Jesus did not come merely to make flawed people slightly better. He came to give new life.

Self-improvement can adjust habits, strengthen discipline, and help us reach worthy goals. But only the Spirit of God can awaken a heart that is spiritually dead, forgive sin, and make us new in Christ.

This is why our prayers for loved ones must reach deeper than “Help them behave.” We ask God to reveal Jesus, bring genuine faith, and create a new heart from which a changed life can grow.

Lord, let __________ understand what it means to be born again. Remove confusion, false assurance, and dependence on outward goodness. Draw them to repent, believe in Jesus, and receive the new life only You can give. Amen.

Christianity is not a coat of religious paint over the old life. In Christ, God begins something new.
