THE MERCY IN TURNING AROUND
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.” — Acts 3:19
Repentance is sometimes presented only as a harsh warning. Yet within God’s call to turn around is a remarkable mercy: you do not have to keep traveling in the direction that is destroying you.
To repent is more than feeling sorry. It is agreeing with God, changing direction, and trusting Him enough to take the next obedient step. The past cannot be rewritten, but it does not have to keep directing the future.
Pray that the person on your heart will recognize God’s correction as rescue, not rejection. Ask the Holy Spirit to make the wrong road clear and the way back unmistakable.
Lord, help __________ hear Your loving call to turn around. Give them humility to acknowledge what is wrong, courage to leave it behind, and faith to walk toward Jesus. Amen.
When God shows you that a road is wrong, His mercy is already giving you the opportunity to choose another one.
