LET LOVE BRING YOU HOME
“But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion.” — Luke 15:20
The prodigal son rehearsed a speech on the road home, but the father saw him before the speech began. Compassion moved first.
Shame says, “Stay away until you can explain yourself.” Love says, “Turn around and come home.” God does not excuse what harms us, but neither does He delight in keeping repentant hearts at a distance.
Someone you love may be far from God through disappointment, rebellion, grief, or confusion. Keep praying without trying to force the journey. The Father knows how to meet people on roads you cannot travel for them.
Lord, let Your love reach __________ wherever they are. Quiet every lie that says there is no road back. Give them courage to turn toward You, and let them discover Your compassion waiting to receive them. Amen.
If you have wandered, the first step home is not a perfect explanation. It is simply turning toward the Father.
